"Jesus Our Shepherd":

A shepherd's responsibilities to his flock are many and great. Not only must he keep his flock separated from other animals and confine them to a specified area, he must keep them protected from the wolves and other predators. In doing so, must put his life in the middle of the flock's and live among them to keep them safe and from wandering away.

This sculpture depicts Christ as the Great Shepherd. Who among men, became our shepherd and we his flock. We were once like sheep who wandered away, but who have now turned to our Shepherd, the Guardian of our souls. This sculpture represents Jesus caring for his flock and teaching us along the way. Leaving no one behind, he carries our burdens and leaves our sins far behind.

"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep"
John 10:11

"I am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they know me, just as my Father knows me and I know the Father. So I sacrifice my life for the sheep."
John 10:14 - 15

"For the Lamb on the throne will be their Shepherd. He will lead them to springs of life - giving water. And God will wipe every tear from their eyes."
Rev. 7:17
